Only the finest yarns from Ireland are used in Unravel Kits. These were chosen after the yarn’s qualities and attributes were carefully considered, and matched against the needs of Unravel’s customers. The three selected offer a natural palette of colour and versatility:

Bouclé Mohair

Pure New Wool

Cotton Chenille

Bouclé Mohair

MB-YARNMohair is made from Angora goats’ wool and Unravel sources the wool in Ireland. The word ‘Boucle’ comes from the old French word meaning ‘curl’. It might be described as a fussy material due to the production process of this light-weight yarn, but the results produce a gorgeous, soft, warm and cosy fabric. As a result of the yarn’s composition, Unravel patterns are deliberately straightforward and easy to follow.

Cotton Chenille

CC_YARN‘Chenille’ comes from the French word meaning ‘caterpillar’. This directly relates to the way in which the yarn is made and how it feels to the touch. The words ‘rich’ and ‘velvety’ are used time and again to describe both the yarn and the products it makes. It is a very special yarn and a joy to work with. When used for knitting and crochet it creates a luxurious and soft fabric.
